DexShell’s patented 4-way stretch lamination process (DEXTRETCH®) provides greater freedom of movement to the wearer. The sock outer and inner components with our engineered knitting composition are laminated with the membrane interlining using a micro dotting process. This features greater stretch in both warp and weft directions allowing the composite fabric to be far more flexible which, in turn, provides wearers with a snug and comfortable fit.
DexShell DEXFUZE® technology was first developed in 2018. The technology bonds the performance glove liner and the ergonomic outer shell together by our micro dotting lamination process with the waterproof breathable membrane sandwiched in between. This unique construction eliminates the movement between the fabric layers and provides much better fit and handling dexterity to wearers thus significantly enhances the hand control and grip.
DexShell patent pending DEXLOK® technology was developed for stopping water from coming into the sock at the top and from soaking in when it is immersed. This design provides a real sense of being 100% waterproof and enables users to stay completely dry across and in the river.
Since its inception, DexShell has been closely working with Porelle Membranes being the strategic partnership. Porelle is a range of high spec waterproof breathable membranes for use in quality performance outerwear. The Porelle membrane that DexShell selects to use is a type of hydrophilic membrane in solid microstructure which therefore is much more durable than the microporous type of membranes (in sponge structure). Using the Porelle membrane as interlining layer, DexShell has created a wide array of waterproof breathable apparel accessories featuring comfort and snug fit.
In the Hydrostatic Head Test DexShell pits its competitors against its impressive waterproof materials. The higher the hydrostatic head value the more water resistant the fabric is. For any fabric to be valued as fully waterproof it should withstand the pressure of a column of water 10,000mm high without leakage. The Porelle membrane that DexShell use exceeds this by far.
