Aiming to be a green brand

DexShell is dedicated to being an environmentally friendly brand by constantly improving our processes and using less environmental impact materials. We aim to be a greener and sustainable brand in the long run and here are some initiatives and steps that we have implemented so far, whatever the higher costs that have been incurred.
First of all, at our own fabricating site, we adopted a no-waste, no-emission process to laminate our waterproof products, taking advantage of the hot-melt TPU (Thermalplastic Polyurethane) adhesive system. Besides, DexShell has been taking the approach of no plastic packaging since 2019 and has been committed to using recycled cardboard packs since inception.
RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ECO FRIENDLY MATERIALS
Our key component Porelle®️ membrane is a PFAS free polyurethane material which is OEKO-Tex®️ certified and REACH®️ compliant. Porelle®️ membranes are manufactured using renewable energy of solar and wind power electricity which in total offsets their plant reliance on fossil fuels by 60%, a significant contribution to reducing their carbon footprint.
We also opt to work more and more with those suppliers who have the qualification such as OEKO-Tex Standard 100®️ or BlueSign®️ certificate. DexShell is further looking to use more recycled yarns like Repreve®️ polyester in its range.
Not only is our concern on environmental impact, but we care much about animal welfare. All merino wools in the DexShell range are sourced from the responsible suppliers with the non-mulesing certificate. This is a must for us.
GREEN CERTIFICATE AWARDED
Hard work up to date, the DexShell’s own manufacturing operation is credited as the Sedex member, the world recognized network for corporate social responsibility, and its whole range of waterproof socks has been awarded the OEKO-Tex Standard 100 since 2021.
